SUNAS for energy capital management enables the collection and management of energy relevant data in a central energy data repository and integrates energy data to all related scenarios, such as energy forecasting, portfolio management, and energy trading. SUNAS supports key energy capital management processes, including:
Energy Data Management Processes for receiving, validating and storing energy data of any equidistant time series independent of the unit the measurement . A repository is used as the data basis for any succeeding business processes such as billing and settling of energy data.
Energy Portfolio Management Aggregate profiles according to specific criteria then calculate profiles for energy that will be sold in the future (Sales Portfolio) as well as for self-generated energy or energy that has already been purchased for future consumption (Procurement Portfolio). Procurement forecasts are based on historical values (such as previous consumption patterns) of interval measured customers and on synthetic load profiles for non-interval measured customers. Calculation of forecasts is based on various complex statistical, stochastic algorithms and will be used as important input for risk and portfolio management.
Energy Trading Energy trading enables you to manage and compare portfolios as well as to close open items. You can manage business agreements with trading partners in the form of deal confirmations (over-the-counter options, forwards, swaps, and derivatives, for example). With this process, risks can be assessed financially and precautions can be taken to avoid them.
Smart Meter Data Integration Enable communications with smart meters, reduce operating costs, maximize customer satisfaction. Support the development of new products and services tailored to the customer’s energy consumption behavior, and reduce capital expenditures by incorporating AMI capabilities into customer service processes.
